KIKIT offers revised service in response to COVID-19
We realise that this is a difficult time for our community and people going through recovery. We at KIKIT take the safety of our service users and staff seriously and have taken precautionary measures to protect our community. We have adapted our service to enable a continuation of support.
We are still providing support for our service users via telephone interventions
The KIKIT drop-in centre was closed on 23/03/2020 to help prevent the spread of the recently discovered pandemic COVID-19. We respect the safety of our service users, staff and volunteers and currently deem it unsafe for face to face appointments to be conducted during these difficult times. Our Drop-in Centre will remain closed until further notice. We advise all service users to NOT access the KIKIT Drop-In Centre until further notice.
To cancel an excising appointment, please call us as soon as possible.
All groups have been temporarily postponed and will resume as normal once confirmation has been given by health authorities.
We are taking the governments advice very seriously and are strongly encouraging our service users to also follow the government advice and stay at home.

What is Coronavirus/COVID-19?
COVID-19 is a new illness that can affect your lungs and airways. It’s caused by a virus called Coronavirus.
How Is COVID-19 spread?
COVID-19 can be passed from person to person through droplets from coughs and sneezes. COVID-19 has been detected in people all over the world, and is now considered a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation.
What are the Symptoms for COVID-19?
COVID-19 symptoms include:
• Shortness of breath
In rare cases, COVID-19 can lead to severe respiratory problems, kidney failure or death.
If you have a fever or any kind of respiratory difficulty such as coughing or shortness of breath, call your doctor or a health care provider and explain your symptoms over the phone before going to the doctor’s office, urgent care facility or emergency room.
If you have a medical emergency such as severe shortness of breath, call 999 and let them know about your symptoms.
How do I protect myself from COVID-19?
It’s crucial to practice good hygiene, respiratory etiquette and social distancing. If you feel unwell, please stay at home and self-isolate to prevent yourself from spreading the illness. It is currently advised to self isolate for 14 days if you are feeling unwell.
For individuals who suffer from existing health conditions, such as heart disease or asthma, you are at higher risk of developing serious health complications due to COVID-19.
