We need to balance the physical, psychological, social, environmental, and economic factors which affect all of us in our busy lives. Should one of these factors be at odds with the others, our overall wellbeing becomes affected and if that happens we need to act.
We provide effective support by enhancing and promoting wellbeing and health through innovation, consultancy, training and education and adapt to community asset-based health and well-being recovery services. By enabling everyone to have access to local services and better opportunities, we can help improve their lives.

Sexual Health – Umbrella service
KIKIT Pathways to Recovery has been commissioned by Birmingham Public Health and working in partnership with Umbrella to improve access to sexual health services for young men from under-served communities.
KIKIT has conducted research for Birmingham Public Health 2014 for sexual health redesign of services. KIKIT have also conducted sexual health research for NHS University Hospital Birmingham.
The following report was included in NHS Birmingham University Hospital tendering process, for which they have recently been awarded the Birmingham sexual health contract.
KIKIT in partnership with NHS Birmingham University Hospital will be providing BME specialist sexual health services in community languages.

We provide a range of services from our community based service:
- Drop-in service
- Friendly advice and information
- Contraception distribution
- Referral to pregnancy testing and advice
- Referral to psycho-sexual services
- Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing kit
- HIV support & testing referrals
- Community awareness workshops
We also provide advice and information for the families of those suffering from alcohol and drug issues, so they can take a proactive role in supporting their loved ones, whilst understanding the underlying issues of addiction. We have found that those who have the loving support of their family are less likely to relapse, which is why it’s vital that we educate them in the dangers of addiction and dependency.

Our drop-in centre, at the heart of the community in Sparkbrook, is the focal point for all our activity. Staffed by volunteers and health care professionals, we offer a warm welcome to anyone who is looking for help, advice or support. Just call between 9am and 5pm weekdays. No appointment is necessary.
